Have been on 25+cruises and the first thing I noticed about this ship was all the slipping and sliding guests were doing on the tile--especially on the LIDO deck. I think that I did a wild slide with arms waving for balance almost daily and thankfully never ended up on the floor. What were the designers thinking putting in all that smooth, slippery tile? Most of the time on cruise ships they use a tile that is rough or has less tendency for slippage. Good thing that most of the guests were young and falling would not result in broken hips. Would definitely not sail on this ship again based on this reason only.
We don't usually sail on Carnival--but chose this cruise because of the young adults on our party. They loved the party atmosphere and no one does a New Years Even party better than Carnival.
Embarcation was smooth and efficient. Debarcation on the other hand was surprisingly slow and it was difficult to find one's baggage since they are now using the airport system of conveyor belts.
Very small and noisy. (Probably the noisiest room I have ever had on a cruise ship.) Could hear clearly noise from the theater as well as noise from the lobby band and announcements. (Could have done trivia from my room.) Bring the white noise machine for sleep.
Great embarkation port. Lots to do in the area. Kennedy Space Center, etc.
Relaxing day at a private island with a swimming pool, beach, snorkeling, rescue animals, "shark encounter", etc. Food was average.
