This was our first Christmas cruise and our 8th cruise all together. We have sailed on Carnival six times, Royal Caribbean once and now Norwegian Spirit.
We booked this ship due to the packages being offered and price. Unfortunately at the time we booked this cruise Carnival could not offer us a rate that would beat Norwegian rate. So we decided to try it.
I need to say the boat is small and the staff was very friendly. The shows on the ship were some of the best shows that we have seen over the years. Spent time with the comedian in the smokers lounge and got to know him and he was entertaining.
We had balcony room 9086. You could hear the people above us when they walked around.
Location is mid ship. The room set up could be better if traveling with more then two people. The couch/bed is right in front of the door to the balcony so it is impossible to get to the balcony when it is out. There is also a small desk at the end of the bed when out. Several hangers and cubby shelving inside the closet but again limited if you like to pack a lot. A small safe in the closet. Stocked refrigerator (they will remove the items so you can use it if bring water or soda on board). The beds were comfortable.
We use Country Inn & Suites for overnight stay and cruise generally. This time we stayed in Titusville and used Park & Cruise. Easy and affordable.
Our hotel offered a 40% off discount at the port for parking but we had already reserved the other. If you stay at a motel that don't offer shuttle you may want to ask about the parking vouchers at port.
A lot of shopping!!!!
Atlantis is nice.
We had to tender into St Thomas. We have never had to tender with other cruise lines. There were several boats in that day so I assume that is why. Our plans were to visit Charlotte Amelia and the tender dropped us off there so we didn't need to worry with cabs from Havensight dock which was nice. I just don't like tenders!!!
They lowered and used the life boats as tenders. The tenders is why I am rating it average.
Just starting to build at the docks. Hopefully by end of next year they will have several stores to visit. You can walk 5 min down the street to some outdoor vendors selling t-shirts and souvenirs. Right now best to take an excursion. Hopefully they will build a nice pool area at the docks to relax when visiting.
