We had arrived in Quebec City after over a fortnight "on the road", we flew from Auckland to Vancouver and had a fortnight there and elsewhere in BC (visiting daughter and family and other family members) before flying to Montreal, where we had 3 days before taking the train to Quebec.
Great to have a 'free' night on the ship so we could take an excellent trip on the next day before we departed. Getting from the station to the ship we took a taxi, the last 200m were a little horrific; it took a long time, we couldn't understand the delay!!
It also took a while to get through the initial carry-on luggage scan, the main luggage was taken quickly as we arrived. Then there was a wait, even though we were Platinum. the main problem was that there was a need for a physical copy of our ESTAs. There had been no information in our documentation of this need. We were lucky that we always carry one but the couple either side of us at the counter had theirs in their main luggage!! Also the computers were not working too well and the people doing the check-in didn't seem to have been trained too well, especially with the ESTA problems.
Exactly as expected, again a very good steward.
Would have preferred the Moosehead beer at the end not the start. The Reversing Falls (2 visits) were unbelievable. The rest of the day was a bit of a rush but all the views and places visited were great. Not too much nor too little at a number of places.
Just a short tour but really interesting; we really enjoyed the whole tour even if it was mainly in the coach. The stops were interesting and the views wonderful. We had an excellent driver and guide.
