I am reluctant to send a review in for this trip. I booked this cruise in May 2014 because it was very cheap. It is true what they say, you DO get what you pay for and nothing more.

When I booked this cruise Gay Marriage was not legal in Pennsylvania. It became legal later in 2014 and we were married in 2014 in December. Coincidentally our 1st anniversary of being legally married coincided with this cruise. I though isn't that a nice trip!

My overall experience is somewhat tainted by the start of the cruise. Carnival changed the time to depart to 3:30 several weeks before the cruise. Okay that's fine. The day prior to the cruise we got an email and a voicemail from Carnival stating that the Pride was having trouble getting into Baltimore due to high winds and seas and would not dock till 3 pm on Sunday. We were told to not come to the pier prior to 6 pm because there would not be enough parking for all the people departing and us embarking. We drove down from Philly where we live a short drive. We arrived at the pier at 7:30 not wanting to be in a line of traffic waiting to get in. There was no line of cars and we dropped off our bags and parked with ease. We then walked with our carry on to the terminal and the line was out into the parking lot. Then we had to wait in lines for 2 1/2 hours to board the ship. We did not step on the ship till 10:00 pm. We ran to our cabin and our luggage was there and we dropped our carry on and went to the lido deck buffet to get something to eat. My stomach was past the growling stage at that point. We got to the buffet and everything was starting to close. We quick grabbed something to eat. We no sooner sat down and they called the muster drill. We were going to eat anyway but crew came by and shooed us out. After the drill we came back up and everything was closed. I asked a crew member what to do we didn't eat. He suggested we call room service.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

The cabin was great. We loved the balcony. It was real wood and roomy. The bathroom was ample sized and much better with a shower curtail than the last ship we sailed on that had one of those clamb shell showers were if you drop the soap, you had to open the doors. They do need to update the TV sets in the cabins. I mean you could buy flat screen TV's at Target for under $100 at black Friday sales and the TV remote sucked big time.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We weren't interested in going to Disney or any Orlando stuff having been there in June 2015 and we did the Kennedy Space Center then too. So we got a shuttle and walked around a bit in Coco Beach and did some shopping.
