the brochure rates for any seabourn ship are extortionate. $9,800 a week is ridiculous. we got a good special and decided to try a 6 star ship. for this kind of money we expected luxury, as they advertise. the ships are small and can go to many more ports than large ships. the rooms are large. the clientele is top rate- who else can afford these rates? you pay more to get less. very limited breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. if you want to eat between meals you get a tiny menu of sandwiches.
to get a veggie burger we had to make an appointment for the next day!!! it is almost impossible to get roast duck, white sea bass, or (god forbid!) lobster after spending a fortune. we
asked for brown rice to be served. that request was lost.
the cabins were very nice and roomy.
