a 4 night taster cruise for a long weekend away, with a destination. overall the ship was a little tired around the edges (with a refurb due in 2016 I believe) but still lovely to travel on with fantastic attentive staff there to make the journey interesting and fun.

RC appear to have done some work on their embarkation process as it went smoothly until there was a problem with the security machines. we did have to sit after checking in and wait for security to be up and running again, but they had plenty of seats and did control the crowd once it was available to ensure that queue jumpers didn't go ahead of those who had been waiting.

we ate at the dining room each evening - the only problem was our friends had been given level 4 for My Time and we had level 5, they couldn't change it so we were on the same level. we had a great pair of waiters who were attentive, friendly and easy to get on with. the food was always very good quality.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

Room is lovely with plenty of room and storage. Bed is positioned near the window with a 2 person couch near the bathroom. there was so much storage, the cupboard was very generous with lots of hanging space and one set of shelves. there was also draws and cupboards elsewhere. the bathroom was compact with a plastic curtain in the shower. there is limited bench space so you need to use the cupboards in the mirror and below the sink. the view is wonderful with no obstructions - most of the cabins on L7 have a white ledge in front of them (with the tenders attached) which limits your view down. however the hump didn't result in any extra space with only room for 2 chairs and a table. My parents were in 7650 and the room and balcony was similarly sized and set out, but the next room back had a double depth balcony.

Sydney (Australia)

Overseas Passenger Terminal is very easy to get around. there is a lift and escalator to get to level 2. bag drop is available before you go in and before you board. coming back however we disembarked on the lower level and had to get the lift upstairs to get a cab.
