To be fair, my husband and I were hesitant about sailing with Carnival again. We sailed on the Conquest a few years ago and were unimpressed. However, we got an amazing deal and the sailing had several ports we were excited to visit.

What was great...

THE SHIP!!! I cannot say enough about how much I loved this ship. The spaces are so well thought out - a flexible main stage that allows for multiple show formats, a lido deck that has multiple "dining areas" that allows you to feel like you aren't just eating in the same place for 8 days, well-lit hallways, a variety of spaces for activities (e.g., the Ocean Plaza was a great space for such varied activities as dance lessons and trivia), an amazing set of water-park quality water slides, a challenging ropes course, an AMAZING adults-only pool area with clam shells and hammocks.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4G

The cabin was bigger than we expected, as was the bathroom specifically but they are pretty cruise standard. (A review I had read had prepared me for something much smaller.) The bedding left a bit to be desired as did the lighting but my general thought on such things is if you are spending a lot of time in your cabin, you are doing it wrong. :) Odd observations - really uncomfortable (read: not soft) robes and peculiarly unidentifiable towel animals.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

I didn't take an excursion

Bonaire

Beautiful water begging for snorkeling or diving.
