My wife and I have been on several cruises with Carnival and Royal Caribbean. This was our first with Norwegian. The embarkation was horrible. The ship arrived late so passengers was still leaving when we were trying to board. We stood in a line for an hour before we even entered the security lines. It was warm so bottled water and an explanation would have been nice. We were suppose to have priority board and got put into the disabled persons line. We asked three times and were told that we were in the correct line. We asked another employee and were walked through the check in and dropped off in the VIP lounge. From that point on....things got good. We were walked to our suite and a bottle of champagne was waiting.

We had both the dining package and ultimate drink package. We enjoyed Cagney's, Le Bistro, Monderno and Tappenyaki. La Cucina was ordinary at best although the pizza was decent. Since we had a suite, we also had dinner delivered to our room from those restaurants.

My wife enjoyed her massages and facial by Priscilla in the spa. We went on excursions in Cozumel (Salsa, Salsa), Roatan Island (private island) and Costa Maya (ATV riding). We enjoyed them all. We took a spa day in Belize City.

Owner's Suite with Double Balcony

Cabin SB

The owner's suite is fantastic. There is a sitting room, a dining area and a wet bar with a coffee machine. There was a separate bedroom with a king bed. It had a guest bathroom and a full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, a shower with six shower heads and a full walk in closet with two safes and a dressing table. We had two balconies. One with two lounges facing forward and another off the sitting room on the side with a table and chairs.

Orlando, our butler, was great. He kept our bar and coffee fully stocked. He brought us a treat each day such as chocolate strawberries or other goodies. If we ate in, he would serve us.

Vilma kept our room up and left us a different towel animal each night. Patrick, our concierge, make sure we received our dinner reservations.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

Spent five days in the French Quarter after the cruise.

Belize City

My wife and I stayed on board for a spa day. The excursions offered here were much like the excursions offered in other ports.
