This was our first & probably last experience in sailing with NCL. This was our 6th cruise & can honestly tell you NCL is the worst operation in cruise history. The Spirit is the worst ship we have ever been on. In fact the name should be changed to The Sewage. This ship was the most unsanitary ship we have ever been on. OK here we go with facts:

1. Our stateroom #5576 was midship & all week long midship on deck 5 it smelled like a raw sewage plant. Other guests complained & I filled out sheets with of course received no answer from the hotel manager. We went to meet the Captain, Hotel Manager & some other high level officer’s presentation & when they were called out about the sewage smell on deck 5 they tried to to tell everyone they were unaware of the problem. Then another person stated incorrect because we spoke to you the other day about the sewage smell. Then the management team back pedals & said we will address your concern later which never happened. Again caught in a lie we had friends aboard that they tried to comp with a dinner in a speciality restaurant bc of this awful odor. How would you like to have to sleep in a room that smelled like raw sewage every night?

2. While on the subject the ship was grungy, dirty & sticky. We never once witnessed staff cleaning the elevator mirrors or railings on the steps. Read more
