NCL continues to provide top-notch service, great itineraries and a well-run ship.. Our 3rd trip on Pearl in 2015 was the best yet based on a great group of "Cruise Critic'rs" on top of 3 educational and well run shore excursions and the consistantly great on-board staff.. A special shout-out to all the staff in "O'Sheehans" and particularly Brian and Anja. For the 1st time I twice went alone on off-ship tours knowing that my handicapped wife would be well cared for by the staff on-board. The Panama Canal Ferry Boat tour was extremely well run and informative and the extended 12 hour trip was worth every minute and every dollar spent; Marelvy Peña-Hall provided a friendly, educational and profesionally run tour of Cartagena and the staff of "The Native Choice Tours" in Costa Maya put a nice cap on the cruise with their small-van tour to the Chacchoben ruins (thanks Melissand and Dan) followed by a unique and wonderful Mexican lunch at a lunch stop in the village of Chacchoben. Although the Cartagena and Chacchoben were private tours I would strongly reccomend them to fellow travellers and look forward to the day when we can repeat this itinerary..
Cabin Review
Since returning to frequent cruising with my wheelchair bound wife we have been totally impressed with the way NCL has structured facilities to serve the special needs traveller. Wide doors, ramped floors in bathooms and onto balconies and "added service with a smile" when needed in dining rooms and to move about the ship go a long, long way to putting our mind at ease and allowing my wife to relax and forget her issues.

Cartagena (Colombia)
Great tour of sites and history of a classic old Spanish town conducted by a local, well-informed, courtious and professional guide. Would taker again in a heart-beat.
Miami
No tour here but a great modern cruise port.. easy in, easy out and the onsite parking is worth the cost.
