Sail Date: Dec 2015

Just returned from Sailing on NCL Spirit, Western Caribbean. I have sailed with NCL many times, on the Epic, Getaway and Pearl. Although getting around this ship was difficult as some decks did not extend the full length of the ship, what impressed me was the cleanliness and level of service I received.

I thought the embarkation process was easy, and not as crowded as Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. The only difficulty was finding my way to check in, as there was no one to guide you once you get up the escalator. Other than that, there was no wait, and my cabin was ready so I could go directly there and unpack. Sometimes on the larger ships cabins are not always ready on embarkation, so that was a plus for me. For disembarkation, I did not check any bags, was off the ship by 7:30a, and had my rental car by 8:15a. Very smooth with no problems. I could not have done that at the larger ports in such little time.

The staff I encountered daily were exceptional. The cabin was comfortable, and the steward did all he could to be sure I was comfortable and had a good night's sleep. I purchased the 5 night dining package, and dined at Cagney's, La Trattoria, and Le Bistro. All meals were superb. The only disappointment was getting service in Windows, the main dining room the first evening.
