This is my first cruise. However, I am very observant, have high standards for quality and am not afraid to share the info!

Over-all the cruise was excellent!

1. The ship sailed a few hours late because an employee made a joke about an incendiary device and as other posters mentioned the police were called etc. However, what was terrible was the way they handled it outside where people had lined up and STOOD for 3 hours. NOT ONE person ever came out and said "hey, here's what happened, here's what we're doing". Supposedly someone did, but hey, I stood for three hours and am sure I didn't miss it. It was hot. They should have wheeled out carts with drinks, ice cold cokes and water. Nada. Nothing.

Cabin A2

Great cabin. Worth the upgrade just for the shower alone!

Port Reviews

San Juan

Got there too late (night) to see or do anything. Just hopped on and off for a couple of hours.

St. Thomas

Just gorgeous. Went to Megan's Bay. Threw the towel down under a palm tree in the shade and spent as much time in the crystal clear green-blue water as possible!

St. Maarten

Nice. Preferred French side as I found the Dutch side to be to dirty and strewn with trash everywhere. I know it's a different place, but the moment you crossed to the French side it was very different. Seems to me people go to these places to buy jewelry which is astonishing. It's like they're giving it away for free but in reality it's the same price as you'd find at Costco. I don't get it.

Miami

3 hours delay and nobody ever came out to give people drinks until we started demanding water. Things happen for sure, but it's how you handle them that makes a difference. In this case it was complete ambivalence and disregard for the elderly standing for 3 hours in the heat, no water, no information......
