we did this cruise as a B2B with the prior cruise going to hawaii, so we had 25 total days on the Grand. during the hawaii portion there was a serious situation involving a fire that impacted the ships propulsion. The story is well documented on the main princess board here on cruise critic (over 50 thousand views) so i won't rehash any of that... other than to again repeat what an outstanding job the on board staff did ….and how very impressive the princess corporate office was regarding "making it right". All went way beyond what we expected.

this 10 day cruise was very good to excellent overall in every area. i just read a very negative review posted about this same cruise and all i can say is that was NOT the experience we, nor the other passengers we talked with, experienced. Also judging by the constant line of folks waiting to talk with the future cruise consultant ,the "never again on princess" reviewer of this cruise was certainly in the minority.

Embarcation and disembarkation were flawless and simple. we really love the early walk off option.
