We live 40 minutes from the port of houston, so this cruise is our go-to, especially if we find a deal. The port is so easy to deal with. Drive up to the porters, drop off your bags, and then park right in front of the terminal - it doesn't get much easier than that! Make sure to keep your cruise paperwork, passports, credit card and id with you, as well as anything you might need before dinner, because your bags could take a while.

They opened the doors at 10:15am, and we were on the boat by 11:30am. Go have lunch, hang around the pool, get a drink & your room will be ready by 1 or 1:30pm.

We had lunch at grand pacific, our favorite main dining room. It was nice.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BX

We were in cabin 9020, starboard side balcony forward. It was category BX, small but the price was right. It could use more counter/vanity space and more storage in the restroom, as well as plugs/outlets by the bed(s), but overall we were comfy. It was quiet and close to everything we needed.

If you want to see the the ports, you might want to book a port side cabin (left), because the only time we had a view was on our way Out of Roatan after we turned.

The room has a coffee maker, hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel & soap. I love the restroom set up with the separate toilet room (sliding door) and shower stall with sliding door. The shower is roomy & there's plenty of hot water. In our room, the vanity was in an awkward walkway you need to use to get around the bed. Bad planning. Bring an international converter if you want to use all the electrical outlets. There's a 110 in the restroom, a 110 and 220 at the vanity, and a 110 by the coffee maker. None by the bed, so bring an extension cord if you have a breathing machine, etc.

Hubby called Guest Services & a tech came to our cabin & gave him channel 60 to watch the Texans game.
