This was our first cruise so no comparisons to other ships or cruise lines. We travelled with two 16yr olds from Sydney on VOTS on 5th December.
Boarding- we arrived at 11.10 and were aboard by noon. Could not have asked for better!
Staterooms - we had connecting interiors aft on deck 7. They were perfectly adequate for us. Plenty of storage, quiet location and our attendant was excellent. The distance from the lifts did not concern us and we'd definitely stay there again.
