Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

First of All I want to say that in general I liked Regal Princess. She is a nice newer ship with some nice amenities, however she could use some improvements.

Getting on-- no problems. easy to board and find your cabin.

Cabin- most cabins are on the smaller side. The stateroom bathrooms are the smallest I have seen on most newer ships. Small showers and very small bathrooms. I was traveling with other friends. I had a minisuite. They had inside cabin. Mini Suite has a normal cruiseship size bathroom.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M6

Cabin is unusual. Although nicer then most, it was not the usual mini suite design. The sofa and bed are not in a seperate "room". Instead the couch faces the bed. There are two tvs but they are placed on opposite walls- not sure if 2 can really watch tv at the same time. The bathroom is nicer. The balcony is bigger then most, but the wind CAN be a problem. I have read reviews about this cabin (front facing) and dont be fooled-- there can be BIG wind issues where you have to keep the door closed and not use the balcony. Overall the cabin was spacious, but not what I expected from the minisuite. I, personally, would not book this room again for the money.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Take a tour for about $30 a person. They need a group of about 8 people. They French is a bit nicer to visit and see if the driver can give you a bit more time on that side. Skip the shopping mall on the dutch side, if possible.

St. Thomas

Take a tour. They are approximately $25 per person when you have 8-10 people. Be warned they like to feel the bus before they leave.

Princess Cays

This is the usual private island experience. Get off the ship if you want to lay on the beach. Not much to explore.
