We were very excited to about our return to the Emerald Princess. We were recently on the Emerald this past summer in Europe and truly enjoyed it. This was my 30th cruise and my Partner's 31st. The ship is in very nice shape at 8 years old and was going in for a dry dock directly after this cruise. There were some features and areas that needed to be addressed (specifically the air conditioning) and hopefully these items were taken care of in dry dock.

Embarkation was fast and easy. The Princess Representatives were courteous and efficient and we were onboard within 20 minutes. Several of the staff and officers were still onboard from our summer trip and were absolutely wonderful to us.

We went to our outside obstructed view cabin on the Emerald Deck. We booked rather late, but had a nice cabin with a fairly decent view, considering that it was obstructed. We met our new steward Ivan. He was very nice, but hurt his back and was out for a few days, but the steward filling in did a fine job.
