I wish I could say I really enjoyed this cruise since it was our first Norwegian. The only parts we enjoyed were the free booze, food, and elements show. During our stay on board our trip was anything but relaxing. From the moment we got into our stateroom things started to go wrong. My birthday is Dec 16 so my wonderful husband arranged to have our room decorated and a cake. These items were supposed to be delivered on my birthday. Instead everything was delivered on Dec 12. I was also supposed to get roses that our cruise consultant set up. No roses for me since guest services had no record and argued with my husband when he showed them the receipt. The first day went fine... The second day at Cozumel was fine..
The third day was complete chaos with the tender issues...I have learned A not to ever buy a non NCL excursion and B guest services only cares about those who do. In the middle of night leading to the 4th day a pipe burst on the 8th floor in the middle of the night. People were screaming and banging around. Guest services did give us a free dinner at Cagney's which was delicious. No one had water the morning if the 16th and our water didn't have hot water till the morning of the 17th. Also on the morning of the 17th we discovered the tender boat had not been secured. So all night/day it would swing and bang against our room. Once again we had to call guest services who told us it was just the wind..I reminded them we had rough seas before the tender boats were launched and they didn't make a sound. Funny.. the noise stopped after they finally sent someone to check it out. After this we became the room of complaints. I was convinced the steward and his staff was messing with us. From taking towels and not replacing them to taking all but leaving 1 towel. I feel like your crew just doesn't care, maybe it's a because NCL is leaving Houston. Worst cruise/birthday week ever. :(
Sadly I only got to stay an hr I was stung by something in the turtle grass. It was either a Lion Fish or sea urchin. The divers and the medics had no clue. I was taken back to the ship where I saw the doc. NCL did refund my excursion money which was kind of them
Great tour Joy our guide was amazing!!! I hated the tendering process and learned that i you don't book through NCL they don't care about you or your need to get off the boat to make your excursion. Lesson learned just pay more money for NCL excursion.
Went to Alberto's bar.. the reviews said this place was amazing. I think people left their reviews while drinking. I didn't think it was good but the service was good, beer was cheap, and the food was great
