We were excited to book a cruise on P&O's new ship Pacific Aria. Makeover superficial of this ship with railings bubbled with rust and holes in some infrastructure. Ship leaked in public areas after tropical shower, so we had to dodge multiple buckets on the floor. Variety of food great but most over salted. Dragon Lady very small portions so we had to get more food to eat after eating there. The Grill was magnificent...food yummy but you pay extra for it. Waterfront restaurant quite good....nice variety and the food was tasty, but compare menus! It was laughable that people at our table had different (wrong) menus. Drink waiters are hard to find in all restaurants. Swimming pools not opened all the time, one not filled at all during our cruise. Majority of lifts were not working. It was heartbreaking watching people with walking aids negotiate the stairs. Entertainment was Ok. My cruise was made enjoyable by our travelling companions. P&O need to do more work training staff and getting the ship fixed up.
Couch falling to pieces with the stuffing coming out in two places. Mouldy, dirty grout in bathroom. Balcony door handle fell off so I was stuck outside. So OK but not luxurious. Painting the hull in Port Vila created such a stink we could not use our balcony.
Never got onto the tender. Seas a bit rough and disembarking into the tender considered too risky, so Cpt decided that no more people could go ashore.
