Just back from another wonder-filled NCL cruise, this time on the NCL Jade out of beautiful Barcelona. That is one fine, fun town. Stayed two nights near Las Ramblas at the Hotel Jazz. Wonderful, recommended hotel.

And what a town for food. Not certain that I will recover from not being able to have more Pan con tomate, their grilled bread rubbed with fresh tomato and splashed with olive oil. And tapas, and Spanish ham and...

We took a cab from the hotel to the port for 16 €. Port knows how to handle cruisers and the boarding process was effortless. NCL staff offered smiles and champagne. We went to the Grand Pacific main dining room for lunch. Grand Pacific is the designated Dress-up restaurant at dinner time. Only really mens that you can't wear jeans at dinner as you can at all other restaurants. Appropriate attire called "resort casual".

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

We treated ourselves to a mini-suite, on the port side of the Jade for our third NCL cruise and our first from Europe. Beautiful room. We had an ocean view on our NCL Star and found it plenty acceptable, but having extra space and a balcony, do have a certain charm. Has a 22" full sized tub that we used as a shower. Also has a spacious closet (22 hangers), and several deep drawers, plus a large space that I called the attic for the odds and ends. Flat TV has news from BBC and "news" from Fox only.
