Background: have cruised Royal and Celebrity.
Kid's Club- youngest was an Ensign. Staff followed the schedule fairly closely. She enjoyed the club and couldn't wait for our port days to be over so that she could return to the ship's club. They played sports, did crafts and played on an Xbox. They were able to try arcade games. She brought home a water bottle, t shirt, bracelet, lanyard and picture frame. Everyone at the club was professional with both parents and child. There were about 120 kids and teens on this cruise. Last full day the children put on a talent show. They offer a fee for service option where the child can eat at the club or stay extended hours. Yes, the demographic of this cruise was older but I won't ever worry about taking a child on Celebrity again.
X Club- for teenagers. This was more loosely organized as the staff were trying to be considerate of the teenagers willingness to participate. My teenager said it was fun and the staff were good. There were four Xbox 360's and two Xbox ones. Please note then will not permit games with violence or swearing. Most teen activity ramps up in evening.
Room: we were 4 to this room - obstructed balcony on deck 6. We didn't feel that crowded. The cabin and bathroom were so well laid out we were fine. No worries. In room movies were excellent. Lots of choice for all.
We took a 60$ each way cab to Secret Harbor. Worth every penny. The snorkelling was fabulous. Took breakfast cereal from the buffet and watched the fish swarm for it. Got bumped by fish. They have no fear. Go right away. Fills up as the day progresses. Remote, ensure cabby knows when to pick you up. Eating at the beach was convenient.
