My husband and I had a marvelous time on the Glory Dec. 5-12 out of Miami. We are 68 and 69 and active. For the first time we were in an Ocean Suite cabin and it was amazing--so much room and storage! We loved it. We were in cabin 7-264 and it turned out to be such a convenient location near the elevators. We took all our dinners in the main dining room and most of our breakfasts there as well. For breaksfast it was such a peaceful experience compared to the buffet. We loved Guy's Burgers and the Blue Iguana burritos. The few occasions when we ate in the buffet were nice as well. I loved all the dinner selections and was never disappointed by anything I ordered. Everything was tasty, nicely prepared and presented. Our wait staff headed by Mohammed was outstanding and very efficient. Our cabin steward Dwi was first-rate and very personable.

Our favorite port of call was Cozumel and we discovered a delightful place to eat and drink in view of the ship with sand and palm trees. I think it was called Pancho's Kitchen but it was just at the end of the pier. Mahogany Bay was just okay. It was a bit rainy so we didn't spend any time at the beach, but walking through all the foliage on the nature walk was pleasant. The city tour & Mayan ruins in Belize was a bit of a let down as there wasn't much to the city. The ruins were interesting. We didn't get off the ship in Grand Cayman as we had been there and walked along Seven Mile Beach before.

The cruise director Mike was the best one we've had in ten cruises on various cruise lines. He seemed to be everywhere and he was quite entertaining. The evening entertainment shows were great, especially the last night with the Epic Rock show. The PG comedian shows were really funny, and we spent most late evenings at the Piano Bar with the very talented Scott. The only negative we experienced was an encounter with another passenger while at the adult Azure pool. He brought his two kids into the pool and when we pointed out to him that it was an Adults Only pool he became very irate and insulting. I wish the Carnival staff would watch more closely and inform families with children that it's an adults only area. All things considered we loved the cruise and felt like it was a great value.

Cabin Review

Ocean Suite

Cabin OS

Great cabin! Lots of storage space and lots of room in the cabin. Larger balcony. Loved it! There were no directions for using the jacuzzi tub and the one time I tried it, it didn't work. Not a big deal because we prefer showers anyway. Having double sinks and lot of room in the bathroom was wonderful. The location was very convenient. Other reviews of the area of this cabin have complained of noise coming from the atrium, but we didn't experience that. No complaints at all.

Port Reviews

Belize City

There's not much to see in the city so that a let-down. The ruins were interesting as was the museum there, but it's kind of a long drive to get there. The bus was comfortable and the guide was friendly and nice.

Belize City

Not much to the city--kind of a let-down.

Cozumel

Took a taxi into town and walked around. Spent time at the Starbucks for internet use. The shops and restaurant at the end of the pier are quite nice, especially the one right on sand with palm trees and good view of the ship. Had great margaritas and guacamole & chips there. Could have skipped the taxi into town and used the internet at the nice coffee shop in the middle of all the other shops.

Roatan

Mahogany Bay is a man-made destination for Carnival ships. It's an easy walk to the shops and beach, but the water didn't look too appealing. The nature walk was pleasant.
