With high expectations and a sense of occasion we boarded the Eden in Sydney for the Five ship Spectacular on one of the most beautiful harbours in the world and unfortunately that's where anything spectacular ended.

The public rooms where beautifully if somewhat impractically furnished but that didn't extend to the whole of the ship, more than a faint whiff of Holland America survives..and speaking of whiffs we could never find out what that smell was on deck four was, maybe it was the toilets that continually failed, who knows.

The highlight of cruising ( well for us anyway) is the dining experience and I can honestly say I've never had a dining experience quite like it...but not in a good way. Read more
