First time cruiser, level 7 balcony room excellent, room service excellent, food average as always just warm, main concern was the 900 kids on board that had little to no supervision. Staff did nothing to stop kids running around on decks, or being in bars, or just being really loud. The entertainment on board seemed to be more targeted at the kids than the adults. The only place to go was the Serenity bar (18+) on level 9, but you were sharing this with most of the guests even the parents of the rowdy kids would come here to get away. Bingo was a nightmare as the kids just ran all over the place and you couldn't hear a thing. Empire dining staff were the best people. We dined at 7.45pm when most of the younger kids were already fed and it was the best time to dine.

Would definately cruise with Carnival again but not in school holidays, over all was a good experience but could have been excellent if 900 kids had stayed at home.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Loved the cabin, was cleaned daily and our room service people were delightful. We loved having a balcony even if it was small, but was roomy enough to sit out there with a bottle of wine in the late afternoon before dinner.

Port Reviews

Lifou

On this island you get the ship tender boats to the wharf, word of advise, the waters are clearer on the right of the wharf, on the left where most people go there are kayaks that run you over and also the water is slightly merky on the left side.

Port Vila

We organised a taxi driver for the whole day, paid him in Vatu (local currency) which you can get out of any ATM on the island. He became our tour guide and he took us all over the port to so many places. Duty free on Vanuatu is incredible and so cheap.

HINT- when choosing a taxi driver get one with a green shirt as they are registered and have done proper courses, also they have air conditioned vehicles which is a must.
