The new Pacific Eden at this stage fails to live up to the hype. Staff throughout the ship were fabulous, all day, every day no matter how much complaining there was directed at them. Our room was lovely, and the beds and pillows amazingly comfortable...and we had a bath....no mini fridge though which is not what I and others were expecting. The Pantry....its a great idea, and a way to minimise food wastage, however, there is not enough variety and not always hot enough to meet food service standards. The Waterfront Restaurant was better, different menu for every day, however food is not prepared there and by the time it gets to the tableit is not generally hot enough, they also have some timing issues to work on..we had 1 of 4 order an entree, the entree was served at the same time as the other 3 people main, not ideal, but I am sure with ti e the crew will build on their experiences and bring it up to the P&O standard. There were issues with plu, bing ..toilets in rooms and public areas breaking down frequently. We had a norovirus outbreak on our cruise, which I believe was a result of the plumbing issues..I got sick on the day we disembarked..so glad I was not that sick at sea. Not up to the standard of your other ships P&O. Bet it fixed or expect alot of dedicated cruislings to jump ship.
