We were on the MSC Spendida when it was first launched in 2009 and although it was a good cruise, there were some shortcomings, so when we booked this cruise on the Divina, we had some reservations but figured the discount rate we received would make up for any shortcomings.

My wife and I are seasoned cruisers for the better part of 20 years, so we know what is considered good and bad on a cruise although we give much leeway on items.

Without going on and on, let me say that it appears that MSC has made a real honest effort to cater to the American cruisers. While there are still some improvements to be made, they have realized how important the US market is for them and adjusted to the US market. Just by doing small things like having water with ice readily available at dinner with complimentary iced tea (only bottled water and 5 Euro canned iced tea on the European Cruises) shows they are listening.
