We just returned on December 13 from a week cruise on NCL Jewel. We had a fantastic time. We truly enjoyed the ship. We opted for an ocean view (have done a veranda on four other cruises), and that was probably the only thing we would change. We did miss having our own veranda to relax on and enjoy the views.
We also bought the Ultimate Dining package as well as the drink package and that was all an added bonus. We only went to two shows in the theater, and more enjoyed other onboard entertainment in the Atrium area. We did love the Beatles Tribute in the Spinnaker Lounge. Everyone in the room was signing along. We were also delighted with the Christmas Caroling on that Friday evening, and again everyone joined in the singing.
Our waiter in Tzar's main dining room was fantastic. His name was Samir, from India. Our stateroom was kept clean and serviced by a gentleman named Clement, who did a fantastic job. The NCL staff were all friendly and most helpful.

Oceanview Picture Window
We did not have a sofa in the Oceanview room, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, all was fine.
Port Reviews
Mazatlan
We chose to adventure off on our own at all ports. We did hire a cab in Matzatlan, who drove us all over for a set fee and spent several hours showing us around town.
Los Angeles
Toured Hollywood on a guided afternoon tour.
