We sailed on the Viking Jarl on November 29th. This was our second cruise with Viking this year. The itinerary was sightseeing and visiting the XMAS markets in Germany, Austria, and Budapest. We had a wonderful time. I was pleasantly surprised with the smaller venues that I was not familiar with- specifically Melk and Regensburg. Absolutely beautiful- especially at Christmas time!

The excursions were well done. They covered a great deal of ground and the tour guides were all well informed and overall- excellent.

The ship was tastefully designed and well maintained/clean. The staff worked very hard to make this a wonderful experience. The food was good- sometimes excellent. The dining staff worked together to ensure the food and wine flowed.

Veranda Superior

Cabin A

As expected the room is small. We were prepared for this since it was our second cruise with Viking. The room met our needs- In most cases when we were on the boat; we were in the lounge or restaurant.
