This was our third cruise on Millenium so we have experienced the ship through its several refurbishments and makeovers. The last, in 2012 added more cabins and reduced the size of the upper level of the MDR to accomodate Luminae restaurant for the suite guests only. This has resulted in closer dining tables and increased crowding in the buffet and in the bars and lounges around The Grand Foyer.
Having stated that, this is still the favourite of any ship in which we have cruised over the past 17 years. It's comfortable, not too big and has a wide peaceful promenade deck.
This ship has a good overall layout with comfortable lounges and bars. Cafe Bacio is proving to be increasingly popular and for us the most comfortable space on the ship.
Excellent location quite high up near the stern elevators . They are never busy and convenient for the buffet or aft bar. It had a larger than normal balcony as it was positioned on the "jog-out" giving terrific views diagonally across. Also there were no cabins across the hallway so very very quiet.
Bathroom looked newer than 15 years with only a small nick in the sink- no big deal. The shower was a good size.
King bed and pillows were very comfortable. Storage space is adequate. There was a seating area with a love seat next to the sliding veranda doors.
Lots to see and do.
