We have been on 3 previous cruises with NCL. The Spirit is one of tbe smaller and older ships in the fleet, but we found it to be very comfortable, with nice furnishings. We had a balcony room that was small, but the balcony was a nice size. The bathroom was also small, but designed well.

Like other reviewers, we found some of the staff a little inexperienced, but overall they were friendly and helpful. The cruise director was not as visible as on other cruises, but his staff were at all activities and were very friendly.

The food in the buffet was ok, but the main dining room choices were very good. They even included an asian restaurant as an included dining choice. One of the shows featured on the cruise was a magic act. The magician was very entertaining and our favorite act to watch. The variety of available excursions was good, but pricey. We chose to do the easy walk off for disembarkation. This was a very smooth process and we were out of the terminal and on tbe road home in a very short period of time. Overall we are satisfied with NCL and plan to sail with them again.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Beautiful beach! There was a smell of sulfur from some red algae in one area of tbe beach. Other than that, the beach was one of the nicest on our visit.

St. Maarten

Small beach with too many people! This beach was hit by a hurricane and is not large enought to accommodate the traffic it gets. The beach isnt particularly beautiful, but it is cool to watch the planes come in. The food is pricey, but there is a Mexican restaurant near the casino next to the airstrip that has good food at a good price.

Nassau

Nice beach! You can watch the trainers work with dolphins for free! They put on a great show. The lunch that was included was good; especially the barbecued chicken.
