I am writing this review mainly because I read a large number of horrible reviews regarding this ship and I felt the need to set the record straight.
The food:
Mostly good, but a mixed picture. Some of the food was significantly better than other lines I have been on. Highlights included the French toast, which was by far the best I have had at sea, as well as the pancakes, pizza, prime rib and apple pie. The biggest letdown was one strip steak I had but all the other steaks were good. I thought portion size was fine, but I am not a typical American glutton, and you can always order more. Dinner time was actually significantly shorter than in the main restaurant on NCL, so I don't know what people are complaining about. The buffet had good food and the temperature was fine, again no idea what people are complaining about. The biggest problem was the buffet was usually a mad house and it was very difficult to even find a seat. This is true on all cruises but this was likely the worst I have seen. Since this is a ship with 5000 ppl, the only solution I could imagine is having several smaller buffets instead of one.
Decided to only do an excursion here so we splurged for a private tour of the rain n forest and old San Juan. Good experience but a bit pricey.
Took a cab to the beach. Had liked the beach on a prior visit but this time Megan's bag was closed so coqui beach was overcrowded
