Sail Date: Nov 2015
Cabin: Studio Inside
Traveled with children

I traveled with a family of 5. Me, Hubby and two teenagers and one young adult daughter.

OVERALL: I liked the ship. It wasn't too crowded. There were plenty of deck chairs available and places to sit around the ship. Be prepared to spend money on excursions if you want to see Hawaii. I wish we had invested in more tours but we were a family of 5 and it was expensive. My family also liked to hang out in the room and watch movies so I wish we could have afforded a larger cabin like a suite. Instead I purchased a quad inside during a friends and family promotion so I only had to pay for the first 2 passengers plus taxes and port fees for 3rd and 4th. Then I got a studio cabin for the 5th. Hubby and I shared the studio but it was very tight. We both fit in the bed (barely) but we both were tired by the time we came home. I left the cabin early every morning to see the sunrise and next time will get a balcony.

FOOD: Poor quality. We ate at the buffet and the free restaurants. The buffet was decent and I made several nice salads there. The Cadillac Diner was horrible. The food was twice cooked (aka burned chicken nuggets). The won ton soup at the Cadillac grill was a pot stick in some broth.

Cabin Review

Studio Inside

Cabin T1

Perfect for a single person. I ended up sharing with my very tall husband but it was tight. The cabin was pretty just like the pictures with lots of storage. There was no purple bedding instead it was all white. There was a low purple lighting.

All of the studio cabins on Pride of America had a door which opened into the "studio lounge" where there was a big screen television. There was no coffee, tea or hot water maker nor any other amenities in the studio lounge. I never saw any of the other studio guest in the lounge. I asked the steward about the coffee maker and he said I should just call room service. I would go sit there when my husband was bumping around in the room.

There was a lot of sea / wave movement as we were on the 13th floor.

Port Reviews

Hilo

Bus driver / guide was excellent. He entertained us the entire ride with stories about volcano, Hawaii and nature. Excellent. Well worth the price.

Kauai

Luau was excellent albeit expensive $$. I wish we had had the opportunity to see more of Kauai.
