This 6 year old ship is maintained in very good condition and has an excellent crew. We had a Concierge cabin on the 12 th deck which was a waste of money as the only extras are some flowers one day and Canapés which we did not use. The cabin is no bigger then a balcony, but strangely has a premium cost. Our bed was hard as a rock and even extra padding did not help. The shows were mostly very good. Activities during the day are boring and somehow they eliminated the enrichment lectures. Even computer classes have a $ 10.- charge which they don't tell you about until you get the bill. All restaurants except the main have a $ 45/50.- surcharge and this is too much.
Also the crowd on our ship was very old. I thought I was on a Holland America cruise. Average around 75/80. Lots of wheel chairs and walkers. Overall, I am not a fan if the Solstice class which I find too big and not nearly as nice as the older Millenium class ships.
Disenbarkation is very slow. Our Global entry line only showed at the e d and was used by the wheelchair passengers. They are not set up for this service as the officials admitted.
Bed was extremely hard. Also the location is right under the buffet and all night you hear trolleys and banging. Cabin has only 4 drawers and closet space is limited. Would not go more the 7 day cruise. Bright area was good size balcony.
