We had been on a previous cruise with NCL on the "Gem" which was very nice, therefore we expected our cruise on the "Spirit" to be just as nice. However, is was not. To start with our room key didn't work and my husband had to stay in the hallway with our carry on's (rather than drag it all back to the guest services desk) while I went there and waited on a VERY long line, just to get new keys made to even get in the room!

Most of the crew seemed inexperienced, especially in the eating facilities. The buffet was not good and anyone we spoke to on the ship agreed. There were not many choices, the food was cold, under cooked (Eggs) or over cooked. The service in the Garden Room was not very personal except for one night, the food wasn't very good, they were slow, gave some of us the wrong orders, and didn't even ask us if we wanted desert one time. The Blue Lagoon had the best food, and amazing tomato soup!

The cruise director did not seem as friendly as they usually are, and didn't seem involved in as many of the activities as I've seen done in the past. The crew also did not understand very much English and instead of making that known, they just pretended to understand, therefore, what we would be asking for or about was not provided to us. The public restrooms were out of toilet paper and paper towels more often than not. The ship was very rocky, unless that was due to it being a smaller ship and rough seas.

Cabin BB

Cabin was a little smaller than I remembered but it was clean and the steward did a good job.
