I always find it useful to explain who the author is before we dive into my review. I have sailed on over 150 cruises and we are a younger couple 30s. We have done everything from Crystal all the way down to Carnival and everything in between. The reason I can not give this ship 5 stars, comes down to service and lack there of.

This was our first cruise on Oceania and while there were many things we enjoyed, we also found many things that just were not up to par given this is a "luxury line". When I spend over $15k on a cruise for 10 days, I expect the service to be up to par and inline with what I will call the four seasons experience. This line is not and for that reason, I only give them an average review.

The buffet service was horrible. They don't let you serve your own food, which is fine with me, but the people they had working behind the buffet didn't seem to be interested in "service" or helping you, they had this attitude and showed. From getting burned toast in the morning to having to hunt to find a waiter to get my drink this place was on par with Carnival when it comes to SERVICE. We had to wait numerous times for napkins, silverware, and drinks. One morning we literally finished our breakfast before the orange juice made it to the table. The variety was also lacking for dinner and lunch.

This was one of the best cabins we have stayed in on any line.
