Not only were there multiple unsatisfactory experiences on the ship, others and we found complaining to shipboard staff and cruise line management on board were ineffective; although contact with Princess home office was achieved, it sadly was met with disappointment (if you complain, don't be surprised if they think you are doing so to obtain a "credit" rather than appreciate the challenges you experienced as you should expect from a customer friendly business). The best description we heard from several other guests (some of whom had never been on a cruise before) while waiting in lines, standing at elevators, while dining or in other venues was "shameful."
Unfortunately, the major deficiencies in the Crown Princess included the often long lines, limited seating, as well as a limited variety and selection of food in the buffet (for example, do not expect a large section to choose from, such as Mexican, Asian, America and Italian, as well as salads and desserts, etc.). Also,there were very limited locations on the ship for a variety of food and snacks you desire during the cruise (before and after eating in the dining room, buffet or extra price restaurants). If you have not cruised before, you might be happy, but there also was a limited variety of food for those who are weight conscious, on diets and/or diabetic. If you ask for lemon with your water or tea, make sure you say it very slowly and repeat it because you might get lemonade instead. And, don't expect to easily find someone in your group or family if you leave your table or want to meet them - because the buffet seating sections are unmarked.
Notably, Princess Crown has a "WiFi app" for free text on your smart phone but only to reach another guest who also has a smart phone. Unfortunately, Princess forgot to create a "beep" so do not expect a response since the caller or the person being called would not otherwise know there is a text message waiting to be read.

Driver and his attendant were very nice. Informative. Made all the difference in being on a bus for the length of time of the tour.

Sadly, far too many people coming to your front and side to sell their goods.
