After arriving in a shuttle van to the Tampa Port, the horrible trip started from the get go. There was absolutely no employee around to ask where to I place my luggage and where does one check-in. Finally paying a porter to take my suitcase, I followed the crowd upstairs where I waited in line 2 1/2 hours for check-in. Please note I arrived in plenty of time for my check-in time and there was already approximately 200 persons in front of me.

This ship should be overhauled or put into the scrap pile. It is old, old and the people working for the ship could care less about serving customers as they have already been paid their tip money. Norwegian requires that everyone pre-pay their tips. The so-called entertainment was a zero scale (who cares about a magician). Upon inquiring what brand name entertainment they were offering, I was told none and that only the actual ship board members perform -- horrible performances.

Upon inquiring where the adult pool was, I was taken up to the 12th deck where a crew member pointed at a postage size pool. I said, no you do not understand as I want the adult pool -- he said that is it. What a joke as most other cruise ships have Olympic size pools and not a kiddie pool.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Oceanview Picture Window

Cabin OB

The cabin was always kept clean by the magnificent man who kept it clean. This cabin was on deck five and had a picture window so one does not feel claustrophobic as they would in single solo room.

Port Reviews

Tampa

Horrible Port Authority. Absolutely no employees around to direct anyone on where to check in their luggage or where to check in. There was a 2 1/2 hour line to get to the check-in desk and those employees could have cared less about how long one stood in line. There was also no consideration given to the elderly who also had to stand in line that long.

Roatan

May Kay Private Island Retreat. This island is very peaceful where one can just sit and relax. There is a beautiful nature reserve here that takes in donated, confiscated, injured or rescued animals that live out their lives here. There was a lunch provided and all I had was rice and beans and ended up being sick from eating this.

This island is 11 acres where one can lay on the white sand beach soaking up the sun or perhaps try their hand at snorkeling.

Belize City

The 40-minute city tour that was included mainly showed how poor this county is. Once at the airboat station, we were given a safety class and handed a pair of ear muffs to block out the sound of the 450 horse power engine. This trip is a must so one can zip around the Almond Hill Lagoon where one can see beautiful birds, alligators and manatees.
