Embarkation and disembarkation were handled very efficiently. We had a mini-suite and were extremely happy with our stateroom. Beds were extremely comfortable.
We ate most nights at Traditional dining....great food, the part of the menu that was changed daily was not repeated on any night. Horizon Food Court had so much choice, all fresh....Didn't like their toast, it was under-cooked and dry. Everything else was fab.
Due to weather conditions the last port @ Dunedin was cancelled and also the scenic cruising through the Fiordland National Park was cancelled, much to our disappointment. We had also missed out porting at Gisborne. That meant we had a total of 8 sea days with only 4 port days.
The mini-suite was very spacious....more so than we expected......Great wardrobe space and heaps of hangers...bed and pillows were REALLY comfortable......Didn't use the balcony a great deal, but when we did we enjoyed it.
The only downside was that we didn't realise it was a 3 hour trip each way, but other than that is was fantastic.....Glow worms were AMAZING.....lunch @ a local farm house was delicious.
Was a great day....fantastic bus driver and local guide....village was fab and lunch (hungi) was delicious.
We took the shuttle into the city centre and went on the cable car up the mountain....Great view, and it was a gorgeous sunny day.
We didn't really do much else....not into gardens or museums.
What an amazigly gorgeous village.....beautiful scenery.....very quaint.....highly recommend a visit to this area.
