Valor was clean, easy to get around but dated. Buffet food fair with pot roast & soups the best. The wait staff was friendly & always ready to serve you. Buffet with its large tables is best place to play cards. Covered adult pool with pizza bar nearby so relaxing & quiet. Burrito bar, deli and hamburger , hot dogs made for a welcome change. Hamburgers were thick & not as greasy as Guys' on the Sunshine. Enjoyed the Comedy Club but disappointed with no comedians on 2 nights. Stage shows were good when they had them but last night onboard was passenger amateur night. Disappointing. Missed the organized bean bag toss, ping pong games that we always enjoyed meeting other passengers when on other cruise lines. Entertainment out on deck for the drinkers with trivia games indoors . Dull. Really enjoyed Costa Maya with all the shops & that great big pool. Didn't take any shore excursions as we have been to these islands a number of times before. Been there, done that.
Deck 2 was so quiet & Ibarra our cabin steward was just outstanding. Couldn't do enough for us. We were in cabin 2432 which was close to the elevators & made it so easy to get to buffet & Comedy Club. For once, didn't have to walk length of ship to get to our favorite places. But no longer candy on bed at night. Cheap! Getting on & off ship was the best & easiest.
This was our 20th cruise & will try another line next trip.
Very clean with lots of storage. Had a refrigerator which we didn't have on the Sunshine. Only negative was our oceanview window was so dirty making it hard to see out & take a picture.
Our cabin steward Ibarra was always ready to accommodate us from removing the heavy duvet & replacing it with a light blanket to always having ice per our request.
