As Platinum members and our first experience on the Anthem it will be our last. At check in the highly sophisticated check-in system was down. While waiting for the system to come up we were sternly scolded for "standing in the wrong place". Upon boarding the ship the look and feel of the decor was beautiful and elegant. Our superior balcony cabin seemed smaller than past cruises but the layout was very efficient and didn't seem small once we were settled.

MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR EVERYTHING YOU CAN AS FAR IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE. CHECK AND RECHECK AND PRINT EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU GO. We heard MANY ANGRY passengers who had their reservations lost. Dined at the complimentary restaurants each night. Food was so so and never hot. The Windjammer was a free for all (more so than on other cruises). Hand washing stations a great idea but there is water everywhere so your clothes get wet and the floor is slippery. The wait staff seemed generally not happy and just going thru the motions. We really felt bad for them. Went to American Icon for breakfast. Took almost an hour some mornings to get our eggs and toast. Worth the wait so we didn't have to endure the Windjammer. Divinely Decadence was our favorite. For some reason we could hear silverware being jostled around each night during dinner.

SeaPlex staff was the happiest and most accommodating on the ship. Yes the lines were long. Get there early, have your card and socks. The XBox room only had one game, Call Of Duty. Works for some kids but not all. RipCord and FlowRider very cool. AGAIN MAKE RESERVATIONS.

A wonderful day. Wished we could have stayed a little longer.
