Just got back on Sunday and my cruise was fine. I had been reading a lot of complaints on CC and found most of them to be unfounded. It seems like people just want to complain in order to get something for free. There had been a lot of complaining about getting drinks because of the unlimited drink packages that were given out for free. I never had a problem getting a drink. The most I ever waited was two or three minutes. There were plenty of servers around the pool and enough around the lounges that you could always get a drink. I only saw one intoxicated person and that was a female on the first day.

I had an inside cabin and it was fine. My cabin steward was excellent. The condition of the ship was fine. After reading some of the reviews the only substantiated complaint I could find was the carpet going down the stairs in the main dining room ( Versailles) needed to be replaced as it was worn on the edges. The pool was a little cool for most people and if it was heated I think it would see more use. I've been on several Norwegian cruises before so I knew what to expect. We were late getting underway but it had no big impact on the cruise. Instead of leaving at 4 on Sunday afternoon we left on Monday morning at about 4:45. The only effect was paying a small tax on drinks and the casino being closed the first night.

The best stop on the cruise was Cozumel. The snorkeling there was terrific. I booked it right at the end of the pier for $35 at DIVE MARTIN. Snorkeling in Belize was not as good. The tendering in Belize is a pain. I stayed on the ship at Costa Maya and Roatan. Service on the ship was excellent. Food was plentiful and always available.

I travel by myself and only go to the room to sleep and change clothes. The room was fine. Everything worked like it should. It was well lit and clean and fresh. Bathroom was fine and shower was bigger than expected. Shower had normal shower doors instead of just a curtain. I had plenty of drawer storage and hangers in the closet. Mini bar in the room. Ample outlets.
