Sail Date: Nov 2015

Booked on the 11/29/2015 - 12/6/2015 sailing to Grand Cayman / Costa Maya / Cozumel. Received an e-mail notification from Princess on 11/29 at 10:36 that fog was in the Houston area and that Caribbean Princess’ arrival would be delayed. They gave a toll free number to call for further updated and a revised check-in time. That was utterly useless as it basically said it our ship’s arrival was delayed and to call the same toll free number for further updates. At 13:30, I looked to see where our ship was positioned, and it was anchored just outside of Galveston. At that point in time I determined that there was no freaking way Caribbean Princess could be disembarked / embarked on 11/29, I decided to book us a room in Galveston as, unlike in and around Bayport Cruise Terminal, there actually IS something to do in Galveston. Did finally receive an e-mail from Princess at 16:48 that the ship’s arrival had been delayed to 11/30.

I think that we were the lucky ones in all of this mess as I heard that a number of early arriving passengers were simply left to languish in a parking lot awaiting an update on the ship’s non-arrival.

I told my wife that the delay likely meant that Grand Cayman would be deleted and that we would likely replace it with a stop in Belize / Roatan / Progresso. Sure enough, we substituted Belize. Since the cruise was now 6 days, Princess returned 1/7 of the cruise fare (as a refundable ship’s credit).

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IC

This cabin is the forward-most interior cabin on the starboard side of Deck 10 (Caribe deck). It was nice in that there isn't a lot of traffic by this location, so it is relatively quite. No noise from the decks above or below.
