Sail Date: Nov 2015
Cabin: Ocean View

My wife booked this cruise for two reasons: (1) We needed 2 more days to become Platinum and (2) we received a very good deal. This was only the second time we have sailed in a non-balcony cabin (our first cruise was an Ocean View also).

The ship is showing its age - but it was clean. Our cabin (U137) was small but adequate for 2 people. The shower was fairly large and the water pressure was great! Our cabin stewardess was very attentive.

I was a little disappointed in the non-dining room food selections. Each day the buffet had a different theme (but only one). There was a salad and desert bar, a sandwich bar, pizza, and burgers/dogs. There was also a Mongolian Wok. We rarely eat outside of the dining room so the buffet didn't really matter to me - we did eat lunch there on embarkation day. My wife was disappointed that Carnival doesn't serve lobster on the 4-day cruises. I was disappointed in their steak but I enjoyed most of the meal offerings. Our head waiter, Imade, had served us on a prior Carnival cruise (and remembered my wife). He did an extremely good job. Breakfast service in the Pride dining room wasn't as good though. Long waits for order taking and coffee refills.

We have been here before but was very crowded - but not this time, great stop!
