The Pacific Eden is sold to people as a refurbished Ship. It is far from it! OK on the good side, the restaurants are brand new and are very well decorated as is most of the bars. The rooms and general public areas are all very old and dated. We had a suite that was nice and big, however it had a very old (Art Deco?) feel to it. The bath was badly stained and had been patched. The toilet and sinks were also stained and in bad need of replacement. The balcony was rusty and had very old broken furniture. The TV was a small old 19" Plasma, however it did have a DVD but nowhere could i find any to borrow! The bed was comfy though with a good supply of pillows. The dance floor was directly above so don't think of getting to sleep anytime before midnight!

The comedy shows were excellent with a good selection of male and female performers, we didn't miss one show and were fully entertained.

Now to another big disappointment - the food. The main restaurant had fantastic decor but was badly let down by the quality of food and attention to detail by the wait staff. The portion sizes were reminiscent of the old "dollar dinners" that seniors used to be able to purchase from RSL's! Food was quite tasteless and overcooked, I had to ask 3 times for a wine list and when the white wine finally arrived it was warm! I complained and got a nice cold one but no apology or attempt at rectification.

There is no long term parking options at White bay terminal, it cost me $60 in taxi fares from and to Central Railway. No public transport close to the terminal either!
