I have been cruising out of Long Beach for years, and since I always have Priority Boarding, I've noticed normally they will start to let you in about 11:45-12:30, so for me no sense in getting there any earlier... Fast forward, my cabin bathroom sink would trickle out water, so notified information desk about it and it was fixed promptly... Other than that hiccup, room was fine, and comfy... I had cabin 4123.
After 20 cruises now with carnival, the food was good as usual.. Some observations from past two years, the plates at the buffet are larger, which is good - not cause you want to pile on food, but the smaller plates food was easier to spill off while going back to table in the crowds... The chicken tenders, embarkation day, they must be left overs from previous cruise cause they are very hard, and crunchy... As you come to day two or three, those tenders are really, tender... The pizza, well, they give you the whole small size pizza, but I have to say, it really sucks... First, the dough tastes like nothing, needs something, salt ? And they do not put enough cheese on it. As you pick up a slice, its like picking up a wet paper towel, and everything slides off.... Carnival, the pizza was BETTER THE OLD WAY!
Dining room, had your time dining... No problems or issues, got different tables each day, no problem! Food in there was nicely cooked and presented as usual.
Just stayed on the ship and enjoyed a half empty ship... This port stop is wayyyy to short anyway
