This was our first cruise on Celebrity, and we chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We enjoy cruising as it enables us to see new places without having to commit to an extended vacation.

Embarkation was by far the easiest we have done-very fast and efficient. Our cabin was not ready until after 1:30, and luggage did not arrive until 4:30. Our cabin (7216) was nicely appointed, although the closet storage was awkward to get into. The bathroom with a real shower was a treat.

The ship itself is beautiful. Our major complaint was the strong smell of 2nd hand smoke around the public areas near the casino and shops. Apparently the exterior smoking area exhausts back into the public area. Several of the venues are very congested if there are game shows or popular entertainers, so much so that it could be a safety hazard. The area along the shops tends to be congested as well as sales staff have tables set up along the hall.

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

Lots of room, but storage was awkward. The balcony has a small projection on the left side which obscures part of the view. It is forward on the starboard side, and we felt a fair bit of ship movement. Bathroom was roomy, and we enjoyed the "real" shower.
