Sail Date: Nov 2015
Cabin: Junior Suite

My wife and I were on Legend in September 2013, shortly after the refit, so we knew more or less what to expect.

I reviewed the ship fully then so I'll condense and compare in this one.

As we are both still working we are limited as to when we can get away and we tend to choose the destinations rather than a particular ship.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Had 8046 the last time and knew that this one was roughly below the Diamond members lounge. We had peace and quiet. Great room.

Port Reviews

Singapore

Did the Ho-Ho bus one day to see as much as possible and had a walk up at the McRitchie reservoir area another day.

Koh Samui

Booked with local company along with others from c.c. forum for a day on a private boat which went out around the Islands. Did some snorkeling and had a relaxing time. Good lunch on board but weather wasn't behaving and cut short the time kayaking.

Only saw parts of the Island when being driven from port to where boat was docked.

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

Organized a tour with a local Dutch/Thai company along with fellow cc members from the forum. We had 2 groups, each in a luxury minibus/driver and English speaking guide who picked us up on arrival and drove us, very quickly, to the city. Saw all the main sites {Palace/Temples etc} and had a short Tuk Tuk ride and a longer river cruise. We also had a good quality lunch. At the end we were driven back in plenty of time for the ship leaving.

Sihanoukville

Booked with a local company who took us in a small group around the main sites in the area. Had a good quality lunch while children in bright local costumes danced to traditional music. Finished at a local market before being dropped off back near the ship.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Again, arranged tour with other cc members from the forum. Booked with local tour guide who arranged a bus/driver and met us at the port. Took us to a local temple and then, what was the highlight of all our tours, we each went for a 45 min ride on a tricycle around the city, dodging the traffic! {has to be experienced}

Had a traditional lunch and visited the main sites before being dropped off back at the port.
