We had 3 couples in our group. One couple was snowed in with flight delays and cancellations. They bought the Choice Air with Royal Caribbean. The people there took complete care of them by getting them flights out (which were again delayed), getting hotels for them, and ended up flying them to Nassau and putting them up in a very nice hotel there, and transfers to the ship. They felt completely taken care of and I would recommend it to anyone flying out of an area that could get snow delays.
Additionally, the couple's luggage was lost, and onboard the ship, Royal Caribbean assisted with clothes and even a tux rental for formal night. Again, they felt well cared for.
The rest of us boarded the Allure on November 22 around noon. Parking was right across the street from where you drop off luggage, and was only $105 for the week. Very convenient. Boarding was no problem, quick and easy.
The hours are rough - 7-2, which really means 8-1, and overcrowded downtown. Would recommend either booking an excursion or staying on the ship. Too many ships.
Shuttles were $10 each way to Megan's Bay and $12 to Coki. $4 to Havensight. Had to wait until shuttle full before they left. No regular cabs.
We took a tour bus, which was $25 per person and gave us a nice tour with stops with great views and a couple hours at the beach - our choice on length. Bus was very rough, seats torn, speaker awful, but got us there and showed up on time to take us back.
Cabs/shuttles were $7 to Orient Beach, but they stick you when they pick you up. They will not take you back for same price. Be prepared for that.
