Our 12th cruise on Princess, 35th overall. We were trying to escape having to cook a Thanksgiving meal and decided to take a cruise - originally it was just the two of us, however it ended up being 4 couples - all escaping the holiday madness. It was great to drive to the port and just get on the ship - only waited about 30 minutes before we got called to embark.

The Star Princess is a great ship - sister ship of the Golden Princess and we loved spending time on the ship. Having just returned from our NZ cruise on the Dawn Princess, we truly enjoyed this ship. 550 kids on board - but that was to be expected - no problem - most kids behaved well. Our cabin was on the Plaza Deck, in the very front. We like this deck because it is close to the International Cafe, a quick run for a snack is always great - just in case we starve during the cruise (LOL), we also prefer being in the very front so we can feel the ocean rock us to sleep. Cabin was well taken care of by our cabin steward.

We participated in a couple of game shows, which were fun. Lost a little bit of money at the casino and drank a bit at Crooners. Service in all venues was great - no complaints by any of the 4 couples.

Very front of ship, close to the International Cafe. Room was clean and large enough with plenty of storage..
