In 2011, we swore off Princess cruises after a very unfortunate sailing. I never thought we would be back, but the Royal Princess has the exact itinerary we were looking for. Boy what a pleasant surprise. The ship was beautiful, the captain was great and the crew was very happy and helpful.
Embarkation and debarkation was extremely easy. We were part of a tiered boarding schedule, but arrived early. They happily got us on the ship, no problem.
The Piazza was gorgeous and gave the feeling of being in an exquisite hotel. It was three stories tall and there are indeed stairs getting from the 5th floor to the 7th floor in the piazza. As you have probably read, there are no midship stairs past deck 7. But that is OK! You can get from aft to stern of the ship on deck 7. You can find stairs there if you need them.
What a great cabin. Book this one if you can!! The cabin felt pretty small, but our balcony was HUGE - I would estimate it at 10 x 10. An Aft view is perfect. We only felt the engines one time - when we were docking back at Port Everglades. Otherwise it was beautiful. We had 3 people in the cabin and it wasn't quite big enough. With the sofa bed pulled out, we couldn't get to the balcony, which was unfortunate. But if you are booking for 2, don't hesitate!! This cabin was one of 8 that had a balcony that was both covered and exposed. Most of the other aft balconies were fully exposed.
great airboat ride. we saw 3 alligators!
Great tour around aruba ending with 1.5 hours of beach time.
we hopped on the Rhum Runner and sailed off to the beach. Great rum punch, music and people.
The most amazing snorkeling I have ever seen. Do not miss an opportunity to snorkel or scuba dive.
a beautiful river tubing experience through a rainforest
